Bolen, J.S. (1985.) Goddesses in Every Woman. Gods in Every Man. New York, Harper and Row. Describes the god and goddess archetypes from the Greek tradition.

Campbell, J. (1970.) The Hero with a Thousand Faces. Cleveland: World Publishing. Joseph Campbell spent years studying mythology and wrote this book about the cross-cultural monomyth of the Hero's descent and return. The themes he writes about often emerge in non-ordinary states.

Downing, C. (1981.) The Goddess: Mythological Images of the Feminine. Crossroad/Herder & Herder. An in-depth portrayal of the goddesses and their psychological meanings.

Ford, D. (1999.) The Dark Side of the Light Chasers. Riverhead Books. This has exercises and visualizations in it to help people identify some of their light and shadow parts, which makes it a resource for the Committee suit.

Grof, S. (1985.) Beyond the Brain. Albany, NY: State University of New York Press. A book expanding the traditional psychological paradigm to include perinatal and transpersonal theory and phenomena.

Grof, S. (1998.) The Transpersonal Vision: The Healing Potential of Non-Ordinary States. Sounds True: 1-800-333-9185. Nine-hour AUDIOTAPE An audio-learning course that covers all of Stan Grof's principle lecture material. Comes with a 48 page booklet.

Wheels of Life. Llewellyn Publications A basic guide to the charkas including each chakra's meaning, location, element, function, inner state, outer state, relation to body parts, color, mantra sound, Hindu Deity, as well as other deities from other pantheons. Pike, K. ( 2003.) Pathways to a Radiant Self. PTR Publishing. A workbook that takes you through each chakra and a resource for people working with the Companion suit. It is full of exercises and activities suitable for workshops.

Columbia, CA: Laughing Tree Press In the cadre of childhood sexual assault books, this one is uniquely sensitive to the spiritual issues involved with this type of trauma. Conterio, K. and Lader, W. (1998.) Bodily Harm: The Breakthrough Healing Program for Self-Injurers. Hyperion. Contains a program for healing the compulsion to self-injure and includes a lot of help in understanding the traumatic causes of the compulsion.
